国际青年日
国际青年节（International Youth Day）是一个由联合国发起设立的节日，是全世界革命青年反帝国主义、反军国主义、反世界大战的纪念日。1999年12月17日，在第54/120号决议中，联合国大会赞同主管青年事物部长世界会议提出的建议，决定将每年的8月12日定为“国际青年节”。

The International Youth Day came into being at a time when the first imperialist world war was being fought and the social-democratic parties of all countries were selling out the interests of the working class in the name of protecting the bourgeoisie's homeland. At that time, the revolutionary youth of all countries held an international youth congress in 1915 in Rikyong and decided on the unanimous steps of the international youth against the World War, and decided to make the first Sunday of September every year the International Youth Day.
Its great significance was to call upon the revolutionary youth of the world to rise up resolutely against imperialism, against the first inhumane war of the imperialist bandits to divide the world, against the defection of the social-democratic parties, and against all socialist traitors. Since the First International Youth Memorial Demonstration in September 1915, the communist youth movement throughout the world has been surging like a tidal wave. The revolutionary youth has played a major role in the anti-imperialist wars, in the fight against nationalism and in all revolutionary struggles.
On December 17, 1999, the United Nations General Assembly endorsed the recommendation of the World Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth to proclaim August 12 as International Youth Day.

Northern Ireland: To mark International Youth Day, Northern Ireland celebrated in a park in the capital with a wide range of activities. Bahrain: The Bahrain National Youth and Sports Organization (BNYSO) organized a youth forum around the theme of International Youth Day, where representatives of youth organizations from around the country discussed the challenges facing today's youth and how to provide a broad arena for youth participation.
